"First Christmas Card"

Sunday, October 17, 2010

It's time to start thinking about Christmas cards. We, the wife and I, usually send out about 50 to 70 cards each year, so I thought I would get a head start.

Today I am posting a card that was done with an image from "Just-Rite Stamps". They are so simple to use and color that I just can't resist using them.

Here is my first card;

"Seasons Greetings"

Just about all of the papers used for this card were from "The PaperTemptress". The papers used were "Gold Sparkle #111"for the matting on the image and sentiment, "Heavenly White"for the image and the sentiment, and "Red Pepper Columns" for the card body. The flower is from "Prima" it adds a nice touch.

The other paper that I used was the holly background paper from "BoBunny" called "St. Nick Holly Berry". It's a very nice double sided paper with stripes on the other side.

The image of course was colored with my trusty Copic markers. The colors used were;

Face; E000,E0,R20
Suit and Hat. R22, R24,R27,R29
Hat Trim; BG10
Beard; C01

It's a fairly simple card, but it's not one that I will send to everyone. Only the people that I know would enjoy a hand made card.

That's it for today, now back to my "HoneyDo List"

Hope you enjoy todays card. Your comments are always welcome.

Have a GREAT DAY!!!

Bob L.

    Oh Bob, I love the Vintage Feel of this card! It is perfect! I totally understand about sending out that many cards and it is so hard to make that many when you know some just plain out don't appreciate the time and effort that go into them! Still working on the honey do list, huh? It never seems to end, does it! LOL! Happy Creating! Sara
