"Funshop"

Sunday, March 13 , 2011

Yesterday, I did a "Funshop" for a bunch of ladies. A "Funshop" is a stamping event where I demonstrate and the ladies make two cards using products from the company that I demonstrate for. "The Angel Company"

My theme this time were easel card. We mad two different versions. The first one was a standard easel card, but cut out with a Spellbinder die. Remember that my purpose was not to make a real fancy card, but to demonstrate the techniques for making these types of cards.

Here is the first card. It was cut out using the Spellbinder die called "Big Scalloped Circle"

"Spellbinder Easel Card"

The image is from "The Angel Company" and is called "Toodles". It was collored with Prisma-Color pencils and OMS. The image and the sentiment were popped up.

The second card that we made was a "Twisted Easel Card". Another simple card once you know the principles of the assembly of the card.

"Twisted Easel Card"

The Image for this card was from "The Angel Company" and is called "Furry Friends". Once again it was colored with Prisma-Color pencils. The shodow was done with a Silver pencil and blended with a "Colorless Pencil Blender" that I purchased at Michaels.

As you will notice, both of the cards are "Birthday" cards. You can never have enough Birthday cards made up.

Hope you enjoy the cards as much as the ladies did making them yesterday. They show some of the variation of easel cards that are possible.

Remember, your comments are always welcome and appreciated.

Have a GREAT DAY!!!

Bob L.

Bob, I want to thank you for the card ideas. I did your twisted card and shared it with my stamping group (28) ladies. They loved it. They have been doing a lot of easel cards and this was a neat "twist" to that. I really appreciate all you do here with your blog. Thanks again. Mare

Bob, both cards are just darling. But, what I really love is that you used spellbinders to make an easel card. Very cute. You just gave me another idea.
