"Get Well Soon"

Sunday, February 28, 2011

I guess I'm in a Spring mood. The weather today, in northeast Georgia, is to be in the 80 degree range. I guess you would call it an early summer. Now, I just have to wait and see what it will be tomorrow.

Today's card is for all of you great members who are trying to shake off a winter virus. I hope you feel better soon and this card will brighten your day.

"Get Well Soon"

The image used today is from "Just-Rite Stamps". I love their stamps, they are so diverse, and I use the alot as you have noticed.

The mats where cut with Spellbinder dies in three different sizes. They were;

  • Petite Oval Large S4-138
  • Petite Scalloped Oval Large S4-139

The image was colored with Copic Markers;

  • Roses; R22,R24,R27,R29
  • Leaves; YG05,YG09

The Roses were coated with Crystal Lacquer, that where you get the little glare from. I decorated the background paper with a little red Stickles for bling.

Believe it or not I did tie the small yellow bow on the bouquet. But, I cheated and used the "Bow Easy"

Hope you enjoy the card and will leave a comment.

Have a GREAT DAY!!!

Bob L.

    Beautiful Card Bob! I live in the area that was hit hard by 2 tornadoes causing 4 deaths and destroying many homes New years eve in Missouri. That is completely unusual for this area. Since then, we've had snow after snow then sleet. We had a wonderful week of 70 degree weather, now wear are into the early spring rains and storms already. This area is so depressed with weather, I can easily see changing the sentiment to this card to something like....it will get better or something like that for some folks in this area. I may have to make a few as I know some folks who could use a smile.

    Fabulous as always. Here's hoping everyone stays well, so you don't have to send it. :)

    Bob,
    Your coloring of the roses is awesome. The shading just makes them pop and look so real. I was looking at the roses so long and almost missed your background paper. Just beautiful.
    Love your card.

    Absolutely beautiful Bob! You did an awesome job coloring with the color red which is a hard color to use. Hugs, Fran
