Celebrate

I hard to say, but todays card has no coloring on it. It is done entirely with a medium called "Perfect Pearls" by Ranger.

The image of the trees from "The Angel Company" called "Good Timber" was stamped twice on the Green CS using "Perfect Pearl Medium".

Then using a small brush, the "Perfect Pearl Powder" in a bronze and silver was brushed onto the two halves of the image. It was then brushed off to allow the image to show.

I often use this process with Black Glossy Cardstock. It gives a very dramatic effect.

This procedure can be used many different ways, as backgrounds, for the actual image, and for sentiments. How it can be used is up to you.

Try it you will love the effect it gives.

Have a GREAT DAY!!!

Parr-fect Day

I have made a little change to my blog, nothing you can see, but behind the scene. When leaving comments, Google will no longer ask you for Word Verification. The comments are on Moderate, which means that comments must be approved by me prior to them being posted to the blog. I will accept all comments and post them. I am just trying to filter out the Junk, and make it easier to post comments

Today I have posted a Birthday Card that I call "PARR-fect Day". It was colored with Copic Markers. The set is from a discontinued stamp set from "The Angel Company" called "Fore". The completed card is made up of four of the images from the stamp set, they are the golfer, golf cart, the green area, and the word "Fore". The Golfer was stamped first, then masked , and the Golf Cart was stamped over it.

After the image was colored with the Copic Markers, the image was nibbled around using a corner punch called "Grass".

Hope you enjoy it, as much as I enjoyed doing it.

Tiger Face

Sunday, January 3, 2010

On one of the groups that I belong to, I am the only man in the group. So, I was asked to design some cards for men. I will be doing this as one or two cards per month.I guess that they want to have a mans perspective on cards they would like to recieve. So here is my first one.

I call it "Time to Roar"

The image used on the card is a discontinued image from "The Angel Company" it is called "Tiger Face". I colored the image with Copic Markers. There were only five colors use to complete the image. The colors use were Y18,E19,E000,R20, and YG18. A colorless blender was used to lighten up certain areas. The style for the card is a easel card.

Very simple card but very effective.

"Time to Roar"

The background behind the Tiger image was mottled in green and brown chalks. The watermark on the main card was done with a bamboo stamp in Perfect Pearl Medium and brushed with a Green Perfect Pearls powder. Although it does not show on the photo, the eyes of the Tiger were coated with Crystal Lacquer. Give them a little shine.

Very simple card to maker, but one that your significant other would love to recieve and display on his desk.

Have a GREAT DAY!!!
